1. Data controller
Self Tape Partner is operated by CN Selftape. CN Selftape determines why and how the personal data described in the Privacy Policy is processed, except where another provider acts as an independent data controller for its own service.
Privacy questions and data protection requests can be sent to:
info@selftapepartner.com2. Data protection principles
Personal data must be handled lawfully, fairly and transparently. It should be collected for clear purposes, limited to what is necessary, kept accurate, retained only as long as needed and protected with appropriate security.
Self Tape Partner must also be able to demonstrate responsibility for the way personal data is handled.
3. Legal bases for processing
The legal basis depends on the purpose of the processing. Self Tape Partner may rely on:
Performance of a contract: when information is necessary to create an account, provide requested product functions, confirm access or respond to service-related requests.
Legitimate interests: when information is reasonably necessary to protect the service, prevent misuse, investigate technical problems or improve reliability, provided those interests are not overridden by the individual's rights.
Consent: when the individual has actively agreed to a specific optional use, such as marketing, non-essential cookies or a separately proposed use of scripts, audio or video.
Legal obligations: when information must be processed or retained to meet accounting, tax, regulatory or other legal requirements.
4. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Receive clear information about how your personal data is processed.
- Request access to the personal data held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion where the legal conditions for deletion are met.
- Request restriction of processing in specific situations.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Object at any time to processing for direct marketing.
- Receive eligible personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
These rights are not absolute. A request may depend on the nature of the information, the reason it is processed and applicable legal requirements.
5. How to submit a request
Send your request to info@selftapepartner.com and explain which right you want to exercise.
Include enough information to identify the relevant account or communication. Do not send passwords, payment card information or unnecessary copies of confidential scripts.
Reasonable identity verification may be required before account information or personal data is disclosed, changed or deleted.
Account deletion instructions are also available on the Delete Account page.
6. Withdrawing consent
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent does not make processing performed before the withdrawal unlawful.
Marketing consent can be withdrawn through the unsubscribe link in an email, through the unsubscribe page or by contacting Self Tape Partner.
7. Data Protection Officer
CN Selftape has not appointed a formal Data Protection Officer.
The GDPR requires a Data Protection Officer only in specified circumstances. The need for a formal appointment must be reassessed if the nature, scale or risk of Self Tape Partner's processing changes.
The absence of a formal Data Protection Officer does not remove CN Selftape's responsibility for data protection.
Current data protection enquiries should be sent to info@selftapepartner.com.
8. Service providers and processors
Self Tape Partner may use service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, technical monitoring, email delivery, payments, support or file processing.
Where a provider processes personal data on behalf of CN Selftape, it must receive only the information reasonably necessary for its role and handle that information under appropriate contractual and data protection requirements.
Some providers may act as independent data controllers for information they collect directly, such as an app store processing a purchase under its own terms.
9. International data transfers
Some technical providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Where an international transfer takes place, it must rely on an approved legal mechanism. This may include a European Commission adequacy decision, approved Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard permitted under applicable data protection law.
The actual providers, processing locations and transfer mechanisms must reflect the services used by Self Tape Partner at the relevant time.
10. Complaints
Contacting Self Tape Partner first may allow a privacy concern to be reviewed and resolved directly.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.
Complaints concerning a Danish data controller may be submitted to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
Danish Data Protection Agency11. Ongoing responsibility
Data protection is an ongoing responsibility. Self Tape Partner's documentation, technical safeguards, provider agreements, retention rules and privacy information must be reviewed when the product or its data processing changes.
New features should not be described as privacy compliant merely because this page exists. The public information must continue to match the processing that actually takes place.
