Copyright Policy

Self Tape Partner respects copyright and other intellectual property rights. Users must do the same when adding scripts, audition sides, recordings or other material to the service.

This policy applies to material uploaded, entered, stored, processed or otherwise provided through the Self Tape Partner app, website or support channels.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally permitted to add and use the material you provide to Self Tape Partner.

This responsibility may apply to:

• Film, television and streaming scripts.
• Stage plays and published dramatic works.
• Audition sides supplied by casting or production.
• Books, articles and other written works adapted into a scene.
• Audio, video, photographs and other protected material.
• Confidential material covered by an agreement or production restriction.

Self Tape Partner does not grant you rights to third-party material merely because the product is technically able to process it.

Using material for rehearsal, acting training or a self-tape does not automatically remove copyright restrictions.

Copyright exceptions differ between countries and depend on the material, purpose, amount used and other circumstances. You are responsible for determining whether an exception applies to your specific use.

When in doubt, obtain permission from the rights holder or seek qualified legal advice before uploading the material.

Uploading a script or other material does not transfer copyright ownership to Self Tape Partner.

You provide only the limited permission needed to process the material and deliver the functions you request. This permission ends when it is no longer necessary to provide the relevant service, subject to legitimate backup, security and legal-retention requirements.

If material belongs to another rights holder, your upload does not change that person's or organization's ownership.

A script or audition side is not made publicly available simply because it is added to Self Tape Partner.

Self Tape Partner does not publish, sell or place uploaded material in a public script library unless a separate and explicit agreement permits that specific use.

Scripts, audio and video are not used for marketing or AI training without separate and explicit permission.

Support does not automatically receive access to your scripts. When material is required to investigate a problem, you must actively choose to provide it.

Material made available publicly by Self Tape Partner must be original, in the public domain or covered by appropriate permission or licensing.

Modern film, television and stage scripts will not be added to a public Self Tape Partner library without the necessary rights.

A copyright owner or authorized representative who believes material made available through Self Tape Partner infringes their rights may submit a report.

The report should include:

• The reporter's full name, email address and relationship to the rights holder.
• A clear description of the copyrighted work concerned.
• An explanation of where the reported material appears or how it can be identified.
• An explanation of why the reported use is believed to be unauthorized.
• Information reasonably demonstrating ownership or authorization to act for the rights holder.
• A statement that the information provided is accurate and submitted in good faith.

Self Tape Partner will review sufficiently detailed reports and may request additional information before taking action.

Depending on the circumstances, reported material may be restricted, disabled, removed or preserved while the report is investigated or while required by law.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, the affected user may be informed and given an opportunity to explain their authorization, ownership or claimed legal basis for using the material.

Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular result. Actions will depend on the available information, applicable law and the nature of the service.

If your material is restricted or removed following a copyright report and you believe the action was incorrect, you may contact Self Tape Partner with an explanation.

Your response should identify the affected material and explain why you believe you own it, have permission to use it or are otherwise legally permitted to use it.

Self Tape Partner may share relevant parts of the response with the original reporter where necessary to assess the dispute, comply with applicable law or protect legal rights.

Accounts may be restricted or terminated when there is reliable evidence of repeated or serious copyright infringement.

The response will depend on factors including the nature of the material, the credibility of reports, the user's explanation and applicable legal requirements.

This policy may be updated when the service, reporting process or applicable legal requirements change.

The date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Additional notice will be provided where required for material changes.
